Alan McGlade is a founder and Managing Director of DEV. He is a current advisor and investor in several media companies and a member of the ARC Angel Fund. Mr. McGlade has over two decades of experience in taking companies from early conceptual stage to significant market player in television, and digital media with an emphasis on music.
For the last nine years Mr. McGlade was the Chief Executive and a member of the Board of Directors of MediaNet. The company powered music and media delivery in five territories in the US and Europe for many of the best known names in the business including AOL, Yahoo, HMV, Virgin, Samsung, Tesco, MTV, Microsoft's Zune and Google.
Prior to running MediaNet, Mr. McGlade worked at MTV Networks. He joined the company after selling them the contactive music video channel, Video Jukebox Network (The Box), where he served as CEO for five years.
Prior to his tenure at The Box, Mr. McGlade was the president of StarNet, which provided targeted cable marketing using a national satellite delivery system. Before that McGlade was the founder and president of Adlink, the largest cable advertising interconnect in the country.
Mr. McGlade's commentaries have appeared in Billboard, Forbes and Multichannel News, among others, and he has appeared on CNBC, CNN Business and PBS.
Michael Yang is a founder and Managing Director of DEV and a senior venture/funds formation attorney at a top law firm based in NYC. Mr. Yang graduated with a JD and an MBA from Northwestern University, an MS degree in Software Engineering and Database Design from Depaul University and a BS degree from the University of Chicago.
Mr. Yang was previously a venture capitalist for Divine Interventures and Sandbox Industries both based in Chicago. Divine Interventures was a publicly traded venture accelerator that invested in over 53 companies and went public on NASDAQ in mid-2000 under the stock symbol DVIN having raised more than $391 million (including private placements from Microsoft, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Level 3 and CMGI). Sandbox is a new business incubator and early-stage venture capital firm located in Chicago founded by former executives of Monsanto/Pharmacia. Sandbox launches new businesses and invests in seed stage software and tech-enabled businesses. The firm has an exclusive relationship with Blue Cross and Blue Shield to manage a corporate venture fund that invests in healthcare technology and technology-enabled services. Mr. Yang led a number of early stage investments for Divine and Sandbox over a 3 year period.
Damian Manning is a Venture Partner with DEV, a technologist, angel investor and serial entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of commercial innovation and a dedication to creating groundbreaking online experiences for consumers. With his latest venture Hifi, Damian leverages the passion that fans share for music to transform the social media landscape.
Prior to Hifi, Damian was co-founder, CEO and principal architect of Echospin, whose pioneering solutions enabled rights holders to sell and promote digital, physical and mobile goods directly to fans across the globe. Acquired in 2010, Echospin's partners included all four major labels, Disney and Live Nation, among many others.
Damian's extensive experience also includes serving as Managing Director for Digital Strategy Partners, a media technology firm with clients including Yahoo!, MediaNet, Citigroup, The NY Times and Viacom. Prior to founding Digital Strategy Partners, Damian was VP, Digital Media for MTV Networks. There he was responsible for leading the digital media strategy of the MTVN online properties, including more than 60 brands and affiliates around the world.
Damian began his career in 1995 at the dawn of the Internet Age as Senior Technologist at IDT. After helping IDT grow to millions of customers and successfully IPO, Damian went on to ICES, the first global B2B eCommerce platform, where he served as Director, R&D. He also co-founded e-Save Networks, where he held the position of Director, Technology.
With more than 30 yrs of experience in the music and interactive industries, Dick Wingate is Principal at DEV Advisors and acts as a bridge between the technology and entertainment industries -- providing digital business strategy, content acquisition and licensing, access to key relationships, market and product development.
Previously he was GM Business Development for TAG Strategic, a digital entertainment consulting firm.
He has served as President, Media Development & Chief Content Officer for Nellymoser, an early provider of rich media mobile applications.
Wingate pioneered the digital music business during his years as SVP, Content Development, at Liquid Audio, Inc., playing an integral role in the company's 1999 IPO, and was responsible for managing music business development, label relations, affiliate mgmt & music programming.
He has also served as President, Content & Programming for DTM, Inc., an interactive systems provider for in-store delivery of digital products for clients incl McDonald's & 7-11.
Wingate's experience in the record industry includes positions as SVP, Marketing, Arista Records (BMG); SVP, A&R, PolyGram Records; Director, Talent Acquisition, Epic Records; and Director, Product Management, Columbia Records.
He was one of the earliest music industry supporters of digital interactive media in the early 90's, helping to develop the i-Station, the first networked, interactive music-previewing kiosk for record stores.
He has spoken at industry events, incl: CTIA, Digital Hollywood, Chief Digital Officer Summit, Digital Music Forum, Billboard Live, Jupiter Plug-In, CMJ, Midem, Bear Stearns, Credit Suisse, Business Week & SXSW conferences. He has been featured in the NYTimes Sunday Business section, the LA Times, and quoted in the WSJ, Time, USA Today, NYTimes Magazine and Billboard.
John Ason has been a professional angel investor for over 16 years specializing in early stage pre-revenue companies. He has made over forty eclectic investments in the areas of e-commerce, technology, advertising, digital social media and entertainment.
Alan Goodstadt is a Partner at Redwood Capital focused on digital media and consumer Internet companies. He has 20 years of investment banking, private equity and entrepreneurial experience, having advised corporate clients on over 50 successfully completed M&A transactions ranging in size from $50 million to over $10 billion.
Prior to joining Redwood Capital, Alan was a Managing Director and Head of Retail Mergers & Acquisitions at Merrill Lynch. Previously, Alan served as a Managing Director at Banc of America Securities where he was Head of Consumer & Retail Mergers & Acquisitions. During Alan's Wall Street career he has completed transactions for numerous clients including Nike, Albertson's, Circuit City, GameStop, Foot Locker, Tiffany, Lowe's, Saks, Turner Broadcasting, Blockbuster Entertainment and Macy's. Earlier in his career, he was a Director at CSFB Equity Partners, a $2.7 billion private equity fund controlled by Credit Suisse First Boston, where he led deal teams in executing and monitoring investments primarily in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors. Alan began his Wall Street career at JP Morgan Chase as a credit officer working with small businesses. Alan's entrepreneurial and operating experience includes co-founding an innovative Los Angeles-based retail business and serving on the Advisory Board and as Chief Financial Officer of The Jam NYC, a recreational music organization for amateur musicians in New York City.
Alan holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University.

Henry Leong is Managing Director of Vietbridge LLC, a boutique firm that specializes in raising capital and sourcing joint ventures in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Leong has worked for major brokerage firms including Dreyfus, Charles Schwab, Oppenheimer and Morgan Stanley.
Sandbox is a boutique firm focused on media strategy for videogames and tech. The company was founded in 2005 by three industry veterans, Bill Linn, Rob Fleischer, and Corey Wade, and lists industry leaders Activision, Sega, Remedy, Codemasters, and CCP as clients. The Sandbox partners also run Pickle King Productions, which executive produces smartphone and tablet videogames.
Joseph R. Saviano joined Baker Capital in 1997 and serves as its Chief Financial Officer. He has twenty years of financial and investment management experience, including seventeen years in private equity.
Prior to joining Baker Capital, Mr. Saviano served as a Vice President at Harvest Partners, Inc. and, from 1992 to 1996, served as controller for the private equity funds of Apollo Advisors, L.P. Mr. Saviano earned a BS in Finance from Lehigh University and an MBA from Fordham University.
