2015 DEV Korea Discovery Demo Day Nears

DEV invested in eight companies through the DEV Korea Discovery Fund this summer, and they have been hard at work in New York for the past few weeks getting a crash course on U.S. entrepreneurship.

Since the program started late last month, these companies have learned about the venture investing cycle, how to refine their business plan and pitch, and have attended General Assembly workshops designed to prepare them for the American startup scene. In addition, DEV’s lineup of speakers and mentors have provided feedback and expertise for our visiting Korean startups in all manner of topics, such as intellectual property, business planning, public relations and marketing.

Companies practice their pitch with DEV mentors and other Korean participants.

With one week left in the program, the time is almost near for DEV Korea Discovery Demo Day, when our participant companies—Coco Apps, Crowd Source, Game Coach, Gluvi, MtoV, Super!dea, Tackl, and Snapberry—will put together everything they’ve learned during the program for a product pitch. Demo Day will be held on August 5 at the Microsoft Technology Center in New York, a day following the New York Tech Meetup Afterparty, where DEV Korea startups will be showcased.

We have truly enjoyed working with these unique companies through their journey this summer and hope to see you at Demo Day on August 5. For more information on Demo Day and the companies that will be presenting, click here for the notice and RSVP.
